Smith & Wesson Model 46 Semi-Automatic Pistol, #23125, .22 LR cal., 7'' barrel, blue finish, checkered walnut thumb-rest grips, Patridge front sight and fully adjustable square-notched rear sight, with one magazine marked on base ''S&W''. Approx. 2,500 of the 4,000 total Model 46s produced were of the 7'' barrel variation, ca. 1957-1966. Condition is about fine retaining approx. 92% factory blue, with scattered small marks from handling and range use; thinning to the front gripstrap and mild high edgewear accounts for a majority of the finish loss. Factory lettering is clear and defined. Grip checkering is crisp and clean with intermittent handling marks to the smooth borders, all are normal for a moderately used pistol.
